Myanmar Media Delegation Visits Fujian

Organized by the FAO and Consulate-General of the PRC in Mandalay of Myanmar, a 13-member Myanmar media delegation visited Fujian from June 12 to 15. 

During the visit, Mr. Luo Guansheng, Associate Analyst of the FAO, made an introduction on Fujian’s latest economic and social development, and cooperation between Fujian and Myanmar in various fields. He also answered questions from the delegation. He hoped that, through the delegation members’ pens and lens, people in Myanmar could know better about Fujian. 

In Fuzhou, the delegation visited the city’s public service center, Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Fudao Skywalk, and several companies to see the history, the people’s wellbeing, the business environment, and the ecological progress of this city. In Gutian County of Ningde, the delegation visited several sites of edible fungus industry including a plantation, a company, a market and a museum, learning about the county’s poverty alleviation efforts through the industry. 

Ms. Myo Min, President of the Myanmar Journalists Association (Mandalay) and also the head of the delegation, set out that Fujian economic development, government services, infrastructure, and natural and cultural landscape give the delegation a deep impression. In particular, Myanmar can draw on Gutian’s poverty alleviation practice through edible fungus industry based on the local conditions.
