Xiamen hosted a major investment promotion conference for Fujian business representatives on Feb 24, gathering nearly 100 leaders from domestic and overseas trade associations to explore regional development projects.

The event, which included private sector representatives from neighboring Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, focused on developing the Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou metropolitan area and accelerating integrated growth across southwestern Fujian province.

Key municipal agencies overseeing rail transit, the Maluan Bay New Town, and airport and port operations presented strategic initiatives in conjunction with the Xiamen Information Group Big Data Operation. Regional highlights included the BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park and Xiamen Science City. Local districts also pitched specialized tracks, with Siming district focusing on financial clusters and Huli district emphasizing urban industry and manufacturing hubs.

Following the briefings, delegates conducted field visits to the Xiamen Winland International Finance Center and Cross-Strait Regional Financial Center to evaluate the investment climate in the city's core business districts.

One business representative noted that his organization is currently facilitating the export of Xiamen's artificial intelligence and robotics technologies to Thailand, emphasizing that the city's business environment provides a strong foundation for industrial synergy and bilateral trade.
