Seven Fujian roads named among 2026 China's beautiful roads

Seven roads in Fujian province have been included in the "Beautiful Roads of 2026" list released by the Tourism Traffic Working Committee of the China Highway and Transportation Society, including five rural roads and two national and provincial trunk roads.

Among the listed roads is the Wuyi Western Foothill Tea Horse Scenic Route in Guangze county, Nanping, which stretches 34.32 kilometers along the western foothills of Wuyi Mountain National Park. Featuring attractions such as Linglong Valley and a black tea culture museum, the route has served as the main race course for two half-marathon events and attracts more than 500,000 visitors annually.

Another road is the Meizhou "Hometown of Mazu · Charming Putian" Coastal Scenic Route, part of National Highway G228 in Putian, which runs 36 kilometers from Anbing village in Zhongmen town to Xiyuan village in Yuetang town. The route includes upgraded road surfaces and facilities including roadside service stations, viewing platforms, and colorful walking paths.

The Yongding World Heritage Tulou Ring Leisure Tourism Road in Longyan is 31.7 kilometers in length and connects two major tulou areas. It includes eight key scenic areas, 25 themed sites, marathon tracks, RV camps, and upgraded tourism services.

Other selected roads include routes in Zhangzhou, Quanzhou, and Ningde.
