Fujian and the Netherlands Set for Energy Cooperation

The Consul General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, Frank Van Beuningen led a business delegation to Fuzhou to explore energy cooperation from April 17 to 19.

 

Guo Ningning, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Fujian Province, met the delegation on April 17. She expressed hope for further cooperation between both sides, particularly in new energy, shipping, advanced manufacturing, modern agriculture, and offshore wind power, among other areas. She suggested that both sides leverage their respective advantages in infrastructure and policies, expand trade through opening more flight routes, facilitating customs clearance, and developing cross-border e-commerce, and enhance friendly exchanges in culture, education, tourism, and between sister cities.

 

 

Frank Van Beuningen reviewed the exchange and cooperation between the Netherlands and Fujian, and expressed the consulate general’s readiness to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation in logistics, transportation, new energy, modern agriculture with Fujian.

 

 

During his stay in Fuzhou, the consul general attended the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Fujian Yongfu Electric Power Design Company and Maridea BV from the Netherlands. Both companies will collaborate on the development of large-capacity floating offshore wind turbine technology suited to China’s deep-sea environment.
