On September 15, Vice Governor Zhao Zenglian met in Fuzhou with a Sri Lankan multi-party delegation led by Welgamage Lalith Prasanna Perera, senior advisor to the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament. During the meeting, Zhao focused on introducing the core tenets of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and President Xi Jinping’s important concepts and major practices during his tenure in Fujian, and briefed the delegation on Fujian’s high-quality economic and social development. The two sides held in-depth exchange on topics including implementing the strategic consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthening mutual learning on grassroots government governance, continuously improving the people’s well-being, and contributing to building a China-Sri Lanka community with a shared future.
