Diplomatic Envoys of Arab States to China Visit Fujian
19 diplomatic envoys of Arab States to China and League of Arab States China Representative Office visited Fujian from November 29 to December 3.
On December 3, Governor Zhao Long met with the delegation in Fuzhou. He said, when attending the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, President Xi Jinping noted that China is ready to work with the Arab side to put in place the “five cooperation frameworks.” This points the direction for the growth of China-Arab relations. As an important starting point of ancient Maritime Silk Road and the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Fujian Province has enjoyed a time-honoured friendship, ever closer exchanges, and broad cooperation prospects with Arab states. Zhao hoped the diplomats would continue to be the envoys of friendship, boost economic and trade connectivity between Fujian Province and Arab states, promote interplay and mutual inspiration of civilizations, and contribute still more to building a China-Arab community with a shared future in the new era.
During their stay in Fujian, the diplomatic envoys visited Xiamen, Quanzhou, and Fuzhou to learn about the economic and social development and the preservation of historical, cultural, and environmental legacy of this province. They expressed the hope to strengthen practical cooperation with Fujian in economy, trade, education, culture, and tourism.
