Led by José Blandón, President of the Panameñista Party, a delegation of 20 political party officials from Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala visited Fujian from December 4 to 8 at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
On December 5, Mr. Luo Dongchuan, Deputy Party Secretary of Fujian, met with the delegation in Fuzhou. He briefed the visiting officials on the province’s latest progress in high-quality development and modernization drive. Fujian, a pioneer of reform and opening up, stands poised to join hands with Mexico and Central American countries to broaden cooperation in such fields as poverty reduction, economic growth, ecological conservation, community governance, cultural programs, sister city ties, and people-to-people exchanges, in an effort to deliver tangible benefits to the public.
José Blandón and other delegation members said they were inspired by what Fujian has achieved, and hoped to further boost mutual learning and cooperation across various sectors.
