Zhao Long Meets with Uzbek Ambassador to China

On February 21, Governor Zhao Long met with Uzbek Ambassador to China Farhod Arziev in Fuzhou.

Zhao extended his welcome to the Ambassador and introduced Fujian’s latest development. He said, President Xi Jinping and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met twice last year, elevating bilateral ties to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era. This creates new opportunities and broader space for deeper cooperation. We are ready to work with the Ambassador to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, advance practical cooperation in business, culture, tourism, education, and sister-city relations, encourage Fujian enterprises to tap Central Asian markets, and contribute more to the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the building of China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future.

Arziev said, the millennia-old Silk Road has bound us together. We are ready to further expand cooperation in poverty alleviation, business, industry, people-to-people exchanges, and tourism. We welcome more Fujian companies to come and invest in Uzbekistan, and jointly bring the friendly cooperation to a new level.
