The groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Luckin Coffee (Xiamen) Innovation Industrial Park project on June 25. With a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($418 million), the facility has a planned annual coffee roasting capacity of 55,000 metric tons and maximum annual raw coffee bean processing capacity of more than 100,000 tons, which would make it China's largest single-site coffee roasting plant.

The industrial park is located in Haicang district, covering an area of over 60,000 square meters. It will be equipped with world-class automated coffee roasting equipment, with a single machine capable of roasting up to four tons of coffee beans per hour. This sets new industry benchmarks in performance, efficiency, user-friendliness and sustainability.

The industrial park will also simultaneously apply for both China's Three-Star Green Building Certification and the internationally recognized LEED BD+C Platinum Certification, which would make it one of the few green factories to achieve dual-certification within the food industry.

On the same day, Luckin Coffee hosted its first China-Brazil Coffee Culture Salon. Luckin, Xiamen BRICS Office, and Brazilian representatives engaged in in-depth discussions on coffee trade and cultural exchange, actively exploring new pathways for industrial collaboration in preparation for the upcoming China-Brazil Year of Culture in 2026.

The Apex Brasil awarded Luckin Coffee the title of "China-Brazil Coffee Culture Strategic Partner" in recognition of its outstanding contributions to bilateral economic cooperation and cultural exchange. In response, Luckin Coffee announced plans to establish its second Brazilian Coffee Museum at the Xiamen Innovation Industrial Park, further deepening and solidifying cultural ties between China and Brazil.
