World Energy Storage Conference to release industry reports in Ningde

The 2026 World Energy Storage Conference will be held from Oct 14 to 16 in Ningde, Fujian province, with reports covering energy storage applications, industry trends, market policies, and intellectual property.

The conference has been held three times and is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Equipment Industry Development Center, the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ningde municipal government.

Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) will release a report examining how energy storage can support the energy transition through system integration. The report will cover applications across different scenarios, deployment pathways, and related policy recommendations.

The Equipment Industry Development Center will publish a report on the current state of China's new energy storage industry, the challenges it faces, and its future development trends.

Three reports from the Energy Storage Application Branch of the China Industrial Association of Power Sources will focus on applications across power generation, renewable energy, grids, and end users; growing energy storage demand from AI data centers; and China's compressed-air energy storage industry.

The Zhongguancun Energy Storage Industry Technology Alliance will present an analysis of provincial policies, market rules, revenue models, and project management requirements for independent energy storage projects.

The Advanced Power and Energy Storage IP Operation Center will examine energy storage patents across 112 countries and regions, assessing China's strengths and weaknesses in patent holdings and barriers to overseas expansion.
