Deputy Speakers of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly of Malaysia Visit Fujian

Datuk Yong We Kong and Datuk Haji Al Hambra Tun Juhar, Deputy Speakers of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly of Malaysia, led a delegation to visit Fujian from October 20 to 24.

On October 21, Mr. Zhuang Jiahan, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial People’s Congress, met with the delegation in Fuzhou. Zhuang briefed the delegation on Fujian’s latest social and economic progress, and underlined the province’s commitment to advancing modernization. Zhuang hoped that Fujian and Malaysia will build on past successes and scale new heights in friendly ties and cooperation across the board.

The delegation visited Fuzhou, Pingtan, and Ningde, to learn about General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major visions and practices, local historical and cultural heritage, Fujian’s historical links with Malaysia, logistics park management, targeted poverty alleviation, rural rejuvenation, and the latest developments in new energy vehicles and batteries.
